Precious Sleep
I got almost a whole night's uninterrupted sleep last night. I only woke up once when Booie was in pain and needed a dose of Tylenol-3 somewhere around 4 AM. I later woke up in the morning facing Boo. She was staring right at me, smiled and said, "Good morning, Mommy," as sweet as could be. Yes, it was a good morning.
The day wasn't the best, but it also wasn't bad. Booie slept a lot. I think the Tegretol is finally working its way into her system. She doesn't seem to have as much pain, but she's also very tired, so she doesn't do much. My MIL, who also takes Tegretol for a painful facial nerve, said you get used to the medicine, but it takes a while to adjust. Thankfully, it appears to be working. That's most important.
I'm slowly catching up on sleep. I was able to get a nap today. Mostly it was dozes in between rests, but it was rejuvenating. Enough so that I could go grocery and present shopping this evening.
I hope to get more done tomorrow and make better use of my mom's visit. So far, she's been babysitting while I make short trips out and take naps, but it's more than I can do alone.
